Healing From Burnout.
Burnout is an imperfect term, but for me, it means: a nervous system that’s been running on adrenaline for so long that there’s nothing left in the tank. It can feel like collapsing, being trapped, or feeling stuck. It sucks. Craniosacral Therapy, we create space to slow your system down and restart the body’s natural inclination toward balance. Over time, you’ll get more capacity on board, and that’s what helps you shift into more sustainable situations.
Movement, Exercise, & Injury Prevention
The old thinking for pregnancy: don’t move a muscle. Now we know that exercise in pregnancy correlates with better outcomes and better health across the lifespan. Pregnancy is inherently weightlifting, so how can we work on form, and use the increased load to create strength and alignment, rather than dysfunction, strain on the joints, suboptimal fetal positioning, and dysfunction in labor.
Bespoke Childbirth Education & Mindset Support
In a modern, clean, technologically advanced world, childbirth can feel like the one last wild frontier. It’s primal, it’s mystical, and it creates an opportunity for the spiritual experiences of acceptance and surrender. You cannot Type A yourself through this one. Through 1-1 coaching, I can suppor you to be prepared, understand the terrain, and be supported to work through fears and examine what comes up.
I’m Down with the Medical and the Mystical.
I’m a Labor & Delivery Nurse, Childbirth Educator, and I have a healing arts practice called Craniosacral Therapy. I’ve been a yoga student since 2009 and a yoga teacher since 2017. I’m also a doula (rarely these days) and I’ve been attending birth since 2015. I freaking love our amazing human bodies, and minds, and spirits. I write a weekly column, Gnarnia, exploring all that is my jam: the gnarly, the wondrous, the wild.
